In favor of Halloween

Bringing elements of a culture (American or British) to teach English is a good resource to make students practice the language in a more “light” way. They can learn the vocabulary and history concerning Halloween without becoming aware of that, especially if the class is really involved into the Halloween spirit.

  1. I believe its important to introduce cultural aspects of countries like USA, Canada, England and Ireland, because we live in a globalized world and can’t overlook this influence. In institutions and schools where the English languague is taught, the role is cultural and informative and not worship of images and fantastic figures. Happy Halloween. Let’s have fun!!!!!

  2. I think you can and should use halloween to teach, but always think critically about the subject, you need do teach more than what this is about.
